C.S. Lewis Himself (from Mere Christianity)

May 29, 2012

Instead of a repeat interview this week I’m sharing a special recording of C.S. Lewis’s actual voice! The following is the only surviving recording (from three that were made) from the broadcast talks he did that eventually became Mere Christianity. It was recorded on March 21, 1944 and heard on the BBC on April 4, 1944. It was the seventh and final talk and became the 11th chapter of Beyond Personality (book four on Mere Christianity). Note the book version is somewhat different.

Listen to”The New Men” by C.S. Lewis

Interviews and other audio specials, with some exceptions, have been MOVED to another site…All About Jack: A C.S. Lewis Podcast.

As a reminder, the latest interview posting that is done there on Mondays, will be mentioned here on Tuesdays. Also, the “Essay Chat” is post there and here every Thursday!

Minutes are now posted each Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
