AAJ Podcast: C.S. Lewis & Philosophy as a Way of Life (Dr. Adam Barkman) 2015r
The C.S. Lewis Minute blog began back in late 2011 as a way for me to share my renewed interest in reading books by C.S. Lewis. At the time I decided to merely share brief reflections in the form of a 60 second podcast where I also included the text of the show. I had previously begun the year before another blog that had quiz questions about Lewis and his works. This eventual lead to interviewing a variety of book authors and another place online to combine everything. EssentialCSLewis.com now supersedes this blog, but because a lot of people are still following it, I occasionally post here to remind those of what’s available there.
From my All About Jack Podcast – Lewis is known mostly as the author of the Narnia stories and as a defender of the Christian faith. Few people know that he taught Philosophy before joining the English faculty at Oxford University. Dr. Adam Barkman is very much aware of this and he explores this fact and more in C.S. Lewis & Philosophy as a Way of Life. Dr. Barkman is the Associate Professor Of Philosophy at Redeemer College University in Ontario, Canada. His book is a complete look at the philosophical development of Lewis and the various views he held within specific areas of philosophy.
